Let my soul be reborn in you, illuminated by your glory, for you, Most Holy, are my whole life, for you are all my happiness.

Ring out to me with the clanking of chains, the creaking of gallows on gloomy mornings, bring me the cries of those tortured in dungeons, in prisons, and in exile.

May my faith be like granite, may my strength grow with zeal, may I go boldly into battle, just as heroes went for you, Holy One, for your glory, for your holy ideas.

May I avenge the shame of slavery, the trampled honor, the mockery of your executioners, the innocent blood of your murdered children, the majestic death of the heroes of the Ukrainian nation and thousands of others unknown to us, whose bones are scattered or also buried.

Burn away with life-giving fire all weakness in my heart, fear, let me not know, and let me not know what hesitation is.

Strengthen my spirit, temper my will, dwell in my heart, raise me to clear ranks, let me find death in those ranks, sweet death in torment for you, and I will dissolve in you and live eternally in you.
